Physical therapy sessions will be fun. They will review this with you and your care team before moving forward with therapy sessions. The physical therapist will create a care plan, also known as a plan of care (POC), outlining the goals and strategies. You’ll review and approve the care plan.A physical therapy evaluation usually lasts 30 minutes. First, you can expect an assessment to identify your child’s areas of strength and needs. I haven't been to the doctor in about a year now because what's the point? Literally anything I might complain about is going to be assumed to be COVID and instead of going to my neighborhood clinic a short walk away, I'll have to drive to their damn COVID clinic at Somerville Hospital.īut, alas, there are no other doctors in the area that take my insurance, so here I stay.Once you find a quality physical therapist you want to work with, here are a few things you need to know: I ended up doing what they always said you shouldn't do, and just read about treatments online. I wonder if anyone reported my case to the FDA, as it was part of a national outbreak of salmonella? Of course not, they all had COVID on the damn brain. I finally got in touch with my doctor (after I lost almost 10 pounds in two weeks) and he apologised, said that he had never even heard that I was sick, even though all communication was done on M圜hart. I spent the week in bed (couldn't really get far away from a damn bathroom) but I was pissed. I'm on the phone with a 103 degree fever, hitting the bathroom 20 times a day, begging for advice on how to treat salmonella poisoning, asking to be connected to my doctor and they kept having different nurses call me back, demanding I make an appointment to be tested for COVID. But, because some small subset of the population with COVID gets GI symptoms, they refused (Refused!!!!) to even let me speak with my own doctor remotely.ĭemanded I go to their COVID clinic and get tested for COVID. Got sick as a dog with classic salmonella symptoms (you can guess). Handled it as I food prepped and ate it each day for my lunches. There was a FDA notice on it from produce sold at a local grocery chain that was (eventually) recalled, but I had bought said produce in large amounts before they pulled it. I got sick a few months back with a pretty clear-cut case of salmonella. Is anyone else having similar issues with them? Are there any decent alternatives to CHA in the Somerville / Cambridge area? This feels like an Eversource situation, where I really only have one (incredibly bad) choice. I feel like yelling and complaining isn't cutting it anymore, so I want to be done with them. The real kicker is that they didn't even notify my insurance (again). Then the fear slowly turns into anger as I become aware of how I was basically terrified into taking unrelated (and almost certainly unnecessary) blood tests. So I naively get scared into letting them test me for every STD, and (of course) it all comes back negative. Mind you, this all happened after the doctor already prescribed the aforementioned cream. The doctor then stated that they would be ordering labs and blood tests, and they did this without explaining if it had anything to do with the red patch on my chest. I also said that we both took STD tests shortly after we started seriously dating. I told the doctor that my partner and I are monogamous. The doctor then sternly asked about my sexuality (I'm gay), and questioned if I had recently taken an STD test. Recently I had a really upsetting experience where-after a doctor prescribed a cream for a red patch on my chest-I offhandedly made a silly comment about my partner (not a medical-related comment). Over just three years (and maybe 6 appointments) I've received bills without even having a recent appointment, been incorrectly billed for treatments that weren't performed, have had to contact my insurance provider when they wouldn't, and have had them lose my information (does anyone else have this craziness happen to them?) I've had such a tough time with Cambridge Health Alliance.
